Why We Moov
Mat & Moov didn’t start in a boardroom. It started in a sweaty workout class.
One of those classes where the room is hot, the music is loud, and everyone is pushing themselves just a little further than they thought they could. The kind where strangers start cheering each other on, where the energy in the room makes you forget how tired you are, and where you walk out feeling stronger than when you walked in.
That feeling is special. It’s the reason so many of us keep showing up. But in the middle of all that movement, sweat, and determination… there was always one small frustration that kept breaking the moment.
A towel that wouldn’t stay put. Sliding. Bunching. Constantly needing to fix it when your focus should be on your breath, your body, and making it through the next move. And after one too many classes spent adjusting a towel instead of enjoying the workout, something clicked. There had to be a better way.
Mat & Moov was founded by a solo Black woman who fell in love with the energy of studio workouts — the community, the confidence, the feeling of showing up for yourself — but couldn’t find gear that truly supported that experience. So she created it.
Not just a towel, but something designed for the people in those rooms. For the early morning class before work. For the “I almost didn’t come today” days. For the moments when someone next to you whispers “you got this.”
Mat & Moov towels are designed to grip your mat, handle the sweat, and stay with you through every movement, so nothing takes you out of that moment. Because when you’re in that room — moving, sweating, pushing yourself — the last thing you should be thinking about is your towel. You should be present. You should be proud. What size are Mat & Moov Towels?
Big enough to wrap yourself like a queen or king, small enough to actually carry it to class. All towels are 186 x 67 cm.

How do I wash my towel?
Your towel is about to see a lot of sweat and a little drama, so treat it right.
Wash:

Dry:
• Air dry if you’re patient
• Tumble dry low if you’re not

• Bleach
• Anything chaotic
Basically: treat it like your favorite workout set… or your favorite situationship.
Are the towels thick or bulky?
No bulky towels here.
Mat & Moov towels are lightweight, absorbent, and easy to carry, so you can throw one in your bag without hauling your entire laundry pile to class.

Will this towel stop me from slipping?

Are these only for hot Pilates?
Absolutely not.
Hot Pilates, yoga, barre, strength classes, gym sessions — if you sweat, this towel belongs with you.

Will this towel make me better at Pilates?
We can’t promise abs overnight.
But better grip = better movement.
And better movement means deeper lunges, stronger planks, and fewer mid-class wipeouts. You’re welcome.

We pop up at studios, fitness events, and community classes where you can shop, sweat, and meet the Mat & Moov crew.

What does pre-order mean?
Pre-ordering means you’re reserving your towel before our next batch lands.
Mat & Moov towels are produced in small runs so we can focus on quality (and avoid overproducing). When a style sells out, we open pre-orders so you can still secure yours before the next shipment arrives.
Basically: you’re calling dibs before everyone else.
Pre-orders will ship as soon as our next shipment arrives at our studio.

When will I get my order?
Orders typically ship within 2–4 business days after they’re processed.
You’ll receive a tracking number via email once your order is on its way.
Shipping times depend on your location, but most U.S. orders arrive within 3–7 business days after shipment.
Your towel will be on its way to its first sweaty workout before you know it.
What do I do if my towel arrives damaged?
First of all… rude.
If your towel arrives anything less than sweat-ready perfection, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we’ll make it right.

We’ll get you back to sweating ASAP.
